Email Server?

Dear All,

I am testing with a email server called as "hmailserver" available freely on the internet.

We have a dynamic ip, and i have a ddns a/c made with no-ip.com which is scmailtest.no-ip.org

At the router whose internal IP no. is 192.168.0.1, i have enabled NAT for the ports 25 and 110 to point to 192.168.0.10. (to same ports 25 and 110 respectively)

The system 192.168.0.10 runs windows xp and has all firewalls disabled.

In case any more info required, please let me know.

Regards,

Ganesh

Email Server?
You really did not give a lot of information but it could be that you are using the 192.168.*.* address range. These addresses are not routable over the Internet. And on top of that you want a static IP on a server.

And dropping the firewall for testing is OK. But don't make it permanent.

Reply:maybe I am missing something but what exactly is the question?
Reply:A lot of Internet providers block port 25 so people don't use unsecured e-mail servers for spam. I had to up-grade my service to get port 25 and (80 www) opened
