If you only have 20 users and are running Exchnage, the best way and easyst way would be to run Microsoft Exchnage Small Business Server. plus it is cheaper to purchase then stand alone Server 2003 and stand alone Exchange. Plus all of the cool stuff like Outlook Web Access and SharePoint is already installed.

It might help if you change your pop3 to 127.0.0.1 also.

I realize that doesn't help much... So I guess I could suggest that you forward the email from one account to the other. Or, if they might be willing, ask your mail administrator to enable POP3 on your Exchange account.

It just worked for me but I think you have to have an upgraded version of yahoo which means that you are paying for it. I could be wrong about that part. Give it a shot and see what happens. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. Can a firewall on server block email from only one customer? We dont have any problem getting anyone elses?
This customer has had an IT person come in. We both use Cinergy Comm as an IP provider. Cinergy says our "firewall" is blocking the email. We don't use any sort of spam filter at all. We use Symantec Client security for our network. Using the same machine, the guy can email from his personal web account and it goes through fine. He says the emails sent from his company email appear to go out normally and he never gets an undeliverable message to indicate its rejected. I can't find any evidence that the emails ever got to our server. I think this is Cinergy's problem and don't want to pay an IT guy $75 an hour for 1 person who can't email us when its Cinergy all along.

Some email websites like Gmail, Yahoomail and blog provider blogspot.com have been blocked by my internet service provider. Although i made several requests it remains the same. I tried some proxy servers to sign in to my account, however i could see only the home page but it is not allowing me to access my account. Is there any way to use a proxy server to access these accounts?

How do I delete email off the Yahoo Server without downloading it?
I created a new account with my Yahoo Plus and in setting it up on my Outlook Express it started to download 5,000 msgs that were on the yahoo server and I would like to get rid of that. Can anyone help me?

Hmmm, strange.... Anyway, you can't delete anything off of a Yahoo server, only an administrator at Yahoo could--if it's even possible. So, you've probably been royally spammed and the messages will still show up as new mail to your account. So, maybe you could let it all load when you don't need the computer for a while, then checkmark sender which will automatically check all 5000 messages, click spam and be done with them. Don't open any of the messages!

double check your ex companies internet and computer policy - this will/should explain your rights and responsibilities

I have 3 MX servers low, medium and high priority.
most email is sent through the high-priority mx server and rarely (if ever through the low-priority server).
I'd like to TEST the low-priority server to make sure that it delivers mail properly without boosting the server to highest priority.

How can I check my email at work if my server doesn't allow it?
I'd love to check my yahoo mail and gmail here at work, but our server blocks it out. Other web services that usually allow you to check mail are blocked out as well, has anyone found on that works around this filter?

As in xhtml %26amp; javascript coding only? I have a client who wants a form to embed it's results in an email, but wants to use free hosting (which doesn't allow php or asp.net or other server scripting without a monthly fee, hence no longer free)

I read the answers to the server questions and I did what it said but for whatever the reason it's not working. It tells me my smtp server wont respond or it'll tell me there were errors while sending the message or it wont accept my username and password even though it already told me I had provided all the info necessary to proceed.

Every time I log on microsoft outlook express is attempting to send the same 7 emails. This has been going on for 3 days - it reports an error and states that the server has problems, that there has been an extended period of inactivity etc. I suspect that the first email is a very large file with pictures attached. You have received an email virus. Try this........
Click on your Start Menu, go to Programs, go to your Internet Service Provider (Comcast, NetZero, AOL.....) go to Support and option to Restore. This will restore your computer back to the last date it was working properly on line.
Now go back to your email and try again. If it doesn't work, restart your computer and then try again.
There is never a good reason to save Spam. Even if you have another email account, you should have similar options, I recommend the following email adjustments:
To STOP receiving unwanted (Spam/Bulk/Junk) email, do the following:
Log into your Email, go to Options (upper right hand side). Go through all your settings and don't forget to save them too.
Under Spam Protection, make sure your Spam Guard is turned ON. Option to immediately delete all Spam messages. This will force all new email to redirect to your Inbox. Option to Block messages that you mark as Spam. If you plan on keeping your Bulk folder, also option messages you mark as Not-Spam to be moved to your Inbox. Always Option to Block all Images until you can look them over first. This prevents spammers from knowing you opened their email. Save Changes.
Under Blocked Addresses, type in spammer.com, this will stop all Spam that has been reported to Yahoo from ever entering your email. I recommend you remove everything on your list first. This will give you a fresh start after you type in the "spammer.com".
Under General Preferences, Folders/Search Results, Special Folders, option to redirect incoming unsolicited email to the Bulk Folder. Save.
Check your Marketing Preferences to make sure you didn't accidently request something. Go into My Account, click Marketing Preferences, click Clear and Save Your Changes.

Reply:If you're running a mail server from a home account (I do) then you need to use your ISP's smart host for outgoing mail. Many mail admins -- Yahoo, AOL, %26amp; EarthLink immediately come to mind -- block mail coming from dynamically assigned network ranges.
You'll never get them to stop that. Just use your ISP's smart host, that's what it's there for.

Reply:If you're running a mail server from a home account (I do) then you need to use your ISP's smart host for outgoing mail. Many mail admins -- Yahoo, AOL, %26amp; EarthLink immediately come to mind -- block mail coming from dynamically assigned network ranges.
You'll never get them to stop that. Just use your ISP's smart host, that's what it's there for.

Whats my incoming and outgoing email server name?
I have a new computer I'm trying to set up for emailing pics and its asking me my incoming and outgoing email server names. I use yahoo. Help me out.

And use the yahoo mail servers address.

* Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication

Is verizon email any worse than the rest? What email server do you recommend?
Not sure about Verizon,
I would suggest (USA) gmail.com (google.com)
or hotmail.com (msn.com) both have decent size mailboxes---
Yahoo is going downhill I believe, they make u sign up for offers, which means more spam for you to delete, also its in the sign up that you will receive offers and spam....

However it requires me manually inputting the server information.
The windows help file, wasn't much help.. not surprising tbh.
So is it too much effort than it's worth, or is there an easy way to do this?

You should look up the site that the info comes from. If it was spit@yermom.com then you should look up the information for yermom.com. If you want the header information you should be able to turn on the option in your mail client that allows you to see the message headers. That's in your options panel.
