Run a home server( email web hosting domain registering, etc)?

Hi I'm lookin ginto startign a web design business, and I'd like to work at home, and have my own server.


can you please tell me where i can find a server,


what materials do i need to be able to work at home,


and any suggestions:)

you can setup a development box at home if you have an extra pc handy, using vmware you can run a pre made appliance web server already setup for you.


If the real thing is a bit too much for you you can always setup WAMP at home its a one click install and will let you view your test sites via localhost.


If you want to run your own domain registrar and hosting you will need a DEDICATED server,or you can go with a reseller plan that lets you brand the servers control panel and signup info with your own.
