I'm fairly sure that with *free* hotmail accounts, you can't use Outlook Express's builtin HTTP access. I haven't tried in probably a year, though. The fee based hotmail accounts allow this access.

Outlook is not an email server but an email recepient. Yes you can use it as an email recepient for Hotmail.
Reply:Outlook Express has inbuilt support for Hotmail. You can add it into Accounts by going to Tools%26gt;%26gt;Accounts in the menu bar.And yes,as very well answered above,it is not a server. It is a mail recipient. You can send and receive mails through it.
Reply:yes you can use it, just go to create account and put hotmail incoming %26amp; outgoing mail server address and your username/password
Reply:Yes Hotmail works with Outlook Express. Open it and click on Tools - Accounts - Mail - Add put in your details with your hotmail address and leave the mail servers blank. if you get alot of mail this may be a disadvantage as you will have to wait for all the emails to download. Its a personal choice.
