How can I change my default email server to yahoo?

Click Start %26gt; Control Panel %26gt; Internet Options %26gt; Programs tab (or on Internet Explorer toolbar, click Tools %26gt; Internet Options %26gt; Programs tab) %26gt; under E-mail click the down arrow and select the email you want to open whenever you click on a mailto link, on send page by email %26gt; click Apply and OK.





If Yahoo! Mail is the one you want and it's not listed as an option, follow the directions below.





There used to be a link to download a small file to make Yahoo! Mail your default email client, but Yahoo! has pulled the file and now you have to install Yahoo! Messenger in order to add Yahoo! Mail to your list of default email options.

PC -- Internet Explorer or Firefox





1.From the “Start” pop-up menu in the lower left corner of your desktop, select “Settings” %26gt; “Control Panel”.


2.In the Control Panel, select “Internet Options”. This opens the “Internet Properties” window.


3.Click the “Programs” tab along the top.


4.Click the “E-mail” pull-down menu, and select Yahoo! Mail*


Click OK.

If you already have Yahoo! Messenger, re-install it. If you don't want Yahoo! Messenger and uninstall it, it should leave Yahoo! Mail in the list of email options.
